Military Physical Therapy
Military physical therapy helps so many wounded soldiers back to the road to recovery. Unfortunately, I have been wounded and am here in one of the best military medical facilities with the best medical personnel in the world. I would especially like to say that today I would not be walking if not for the physical therapist here at Walter Reed. I arrived here in January of 2016 with a crushed hand and a wounded leg that had over 186 stitches holding it together and spent weeks with a wound VAC in my leg to help save my leg. It was two months before I could even get the stitches out. I worked with a physical therapist the whole time to gain mobility and strength in my hand.
Military Physical Therapy They Preserve and Rebuild
If you spent a day here at Walter Reed, you would see the amount of wounded and injured soldiers. The physical therapist is the one that spends countless hours preserving the dignity and rebuilding the lives of soldiers every day. I spent several hours and days with my physical therapist doing rehab to regain the mobility and strength in my hand. I have yet to begin the physical therapy on my leg. However, I am confident that with the help of the physical therapist, we will be able to rebuild my leg, and I will regain the ability to walk again and live a higher quality of life.
Their Dedication
The job that the physical therapist here does with the number of soldiers that they work with on a daily basis shows that their dedication is unsurpassed. Thousands of soldiers here at Walter Reed have returned home to live a higher quality of life because of the dedication of the physical therapist. This doesn’t just show their dedication; it also shows their commitment to the soldiers and their families. Many military hospitals take care of wounded and injured warriors who would not return to duty or have a chance at a better life than when they arrived if not for physical therapists.
Thank You
To the physical therapist that has helped me and thousands of soldiers regain our lives after being wounded or injured, we all say thank you for your continued commitment and dedication to us all! You will never be forgotten, and we are all very grateful for the efforts you have put forth for the armed forces and for wounded and injured warriors.
